For Anodica, Sustainability means: "Doing More with Less"

In Anodica Trevigiana we believe and constantly invest in continuous evolution, with the aim of improving our performance and the efficiency of our business processes. The improvement actions we undertake have an impact on everything around us, our society and the environment we live in. Indeed, we’re aware that we’re all protagonists within an ecosystem which is interconnected and interdependent.


Agenda 2030 for sustainable development is the action program signed in 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN Member States, which encompasses common environmental, economic, institutional and social goals.

Anodica Trevigiana has also embraced the challenge laid down by the global community with Agenda 2030, by developing an action plan that incorporates some of the main goals into our day-to-day business activities. In particular, Anodica's commitment focuses on 8 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which range from the social and human spheres, to more environmental and ecological issues. Below, we outline them in detail.


As part of the Agenda 2030 action program, Anodica Trevigiana has identified the following objectives:

3 - Good health and well-being

TODAY - Since 2007 we’ve been ISO 45001 certified, which governs occupational health and safety; we promote safety initiatives in the workplace and are attentive to the well-being of our employees, and measure this by gauging “Employee Satisfaction”. We don’t use carcinogenic products and our chemical anodising process is Nickel free. We’ve invested in R&D to develop a “HygenOx” anodic finish which confers antibacterial properties to aluminium. We’re committed to creating welfare programs to sensitise all our employees to preventive measures for safeguarding health;

TOMORROW - We continue with our tactical approach aimed at decreasing the number of arduous working areas to enhance worker well-being.

4 - Quality education

TODAY - Since 2007 we’ve been SA 8000 certified, which governs corporate ethics and social responsibility; by means of “learning kits”, we design and implement training programs aimed at developing skills, including transversal ones, for part of our workforce (30%). We’re part of the NAT network (a network of companies serving the Automotive industry) with which we conduct an innovative training program based on the exchange of experiences and sharing of ideas, which encompasses areas spanning Sales, Entrepreneurship and Quality, to develop skills, abilities and a sense of role.

TOMORROW - Over the forthcoming years, Anodica is committed to offering 100% of our staff personalised training programs and coaching to help them achieve their professional development goals.

7 - Affordable and clean energy

TODAY - 100% of the electricity used in Anodica comes from certified renewable sources. We use LED lighting throughout the company, and since 2000 we’ve been UNI EN ISO 14001 certified, which governs environmental management. We have installed a photovoltaic system which makes about 10% of our production self-sufficient;

TOMORROW - We will strive for ever-greater energy efficiency by using inverter motors and improving the insulation of buildings and systems; we will replace part of the methane gas we currently use with electricity produced from renewable sources.

12 - Responsible consumption and production

TODAY - Since 1997, we’ve been UNI EN ISO 9001 certified; we have reduced scrap and waste, and through careful monitoring we aim to optimise the quantity of "consumable" products we use. Since 2009 we’ve adopted a lean production method, resulting in a production process that uses fewer resources than in the past. We apply extended 4.0 technologies to limit wastage of resources.

TOMORROW - Looking to the future, our approach will be to reduce waste (across all consumables) and use only “recyclable” and “recycled” packaging. At a production level, we are committed to replacing machine lubricating oils with nitrogen, which has a reduced environmental impact. Our R&D activities seek solutions to replace materials and treatments that have a higher environmental impact with others with a lower impact. Finally, we will strive to provide our clients with a solution comparison service produced according to the LCA (Life-cycle Assessment) approach.

13/14 - Climate action; Life below water

TODAY - We’ve chosen certified renewable sources for the supply of electricity; we’ve provided our employees with steel water bottles with the aim of eliminating the use of disposable plastic bottles.

TOMORROW - We’re aiming for ever more precise monitoring of our CO2 emissions; our R&D department is also committed to studying solutions that reduce the use of nitric acid in anodising processes, replacing it with more neutral substances and reducing nitrate levels in waste water.

15/17 - Life on land; Partnerships for the goals

TODAY - In Anodica we use exclusively eco-friendly pallets, made from recycled wood; we’re part of the “Sustainability Club”, with Assindustria VenetoCentro. Since 2022 Anodica is officially a Benefit Corporation because we believe that a company must pursues not only economical targets but also social goals for the territory and people.

TOMORROW - In the near future we want to forge partnerships with companies that are attentive to sustainability issues; we’re committed to obtaining the B-Corp Sustainability Report.

Agenda 2030 is a major challenge; it will require a skilled and innovative approach: this is Anodica's commitment and the path we’ve embarked on to ensure we concretely achieve our essential sustainability goals.
